Plate Link Conveyor Belt is a special belt for special purposes. Because of its firm construction these belts are often used there were other traditional (wire) belting are not strong enough. Another strong point of the plate link belt is its possibility to have of all kinds of perforations, exactly fitting to the product process.
The link plate belt is constructed of plates or hinges linked together by means of cross rods. The belt is almost always equipped with side chains. The chains are secured by a ring welded at the cross rods ends.
The link plate belts are tailor made and can be executed with pitches from ¾” until 9” in almost any width and length and plate thickness from 1 until 3 mm.
The link plate belt is positively driven by sprockets, and can be used at conveyor speeds of less than 1 metre per minute to about 15 meters per minute. Speeds above 15 meters per minute are considered to be high speeds.
The link plate belts are used in production processes with temperatures of -30ºC to +300ºC in food and other industries.
The link plate belt needs minimal maintenance and will have a working life of many years, if used well. The belt can be made of steel, stainless steel AISI 304 , AISI 316 or others.
